Schneider was born in Indiana in 1980, and has been living in New York for the past 10 years. The primary inspiration for his work is his own life, his past and present. Every painting is a "memory collage,” a kind of psychological portrait of his personal relationships. His giant canvases are dominated by vivid colors and robust brush strokes while his figures, engaged in everyday acts, are placed in symbolic interiors. His paintings often remind us of theater scenes, however, in Schneider's work we only see the high point of the events. He often paints words and sentences on his canvases, giving the works more personal depth and emotional touch.
Schneider has had numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe as well as South Korea, and he also works as a curator.
