The IRWIN is one of the best known art groups of the Central Eastern European region. It was established in 1983 in Ljubljana, and took part in bringing about the NSK (Neue Slowenische Kunst – new Slovene art) in 1984. One of their most known projects is the 2006 East Art Map. The members of the group are Dusan Mandic (born in Ljubljana in 1954), Miran Mohar (born in Novo Mesto in 1958), Andrej Savski (born in Ljubljana in 1961), Roman Uranjek (born in Trbovlje in 1961), and Borut Vogelnik (born in Kranj in 1959). They presented a solo exhibition in the Deák Erika Gallery in 1999 with the title “Self-Portraits and Projects,” and took part in the 2010 and 2014 exhibitions titled “On Paper.”
